OFFICE HOURS:

I am usually available in the office Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. I am out of the office for court appearances and appointments are scheduled around these. Appointments can be arranged by calling my office.

AFTER HOURS AND WEEKENDS:

Not all legal emergencies arise during office hours. If an emergency occurs that needs immediate attention, call my residence number or cell phone number to reach me or leave a message and I will get back with you as soon as possible. On the occasions when I might be out of town, a message left on my cell phone or left with my residence will reach me and I will call you as soon as possible.

TELEPHONE CALLS:

If you have a question or problem that can be handled over the telephone, please give your question to my assistant. My assistant or I will call you back and answer your question. If there is a legal problem which requires my personal attention, I will return your call. If you want to talk only with me, please inform my assistant and leave your number. I return telephone calls throughout the day. However, sometimes I am unable to return non-emergency telephone calls until after appointments (most often after 4:00 p.m.)

APPOINTMENT DELAYS:

Occasionally, I get detained in Court when a hearing or trial is longer than expected. My assistant has been trained to explain such situations and will give you the opportunity of rescheduling your appointment or returning later in the day. I apologize for any inconvenience and I appreciate your cooperation and understanding should this occur.

FEES:

My fees are based on the actual time expended for services. Naturally, the complexity of the legal issue impacts the length of time required for interviews, conferences, telephone calls, research, etc. Charges are no secret and I will welcome your questions and discussion of fees.

PARTNER WITH YOU:

As your attorney, I will do my best to discuss your legal situation with you. I believe that the client and the attorney are responsible for the decisions made on a case. I ask that you take the time to understand your legal situation and decide with me on the best legal approach and follow the recommendations outlined for you. If you have any questions, please ask them. Unanswered questions or assumptions create unnecessary anxiety for you. Some of my clients find it helpful to write down their questions prior to their visit so the questions can be addressed at that time.
